How to Paint a Glass Vase
What Do You Need for This Crafting Project?
A vase or glass
Paper
First, find a vase or other container you want to paint. Today, we’ll show you a timeless combination of blue and white.
Then pour a few tablespoons of paint into the container and swirl it around so the paint coats the entire inside surface. Of course, it’s best to work over a protective covering so paint doesn’t drip onto your furniture or floor.
Ideally, prepare two containers this way so you can pair them beautifully. For the first container, use a high-gloss paint, for example, navy blue. The second container can be painted inside with white chalk paint.

Once you have covered the entire inside, place the containers upside down on paper and let them dry. Patience pays off: the result is worth it. You’ll notice a pleasantly smooth surface with no brush marks.
Tip: If the vase will be more than just a decorative item and you want to put water in it for flowers, make sure the paint used inside is durable enough.
Tip 2: For Ceramic Vases, Use Ceramic Paints

Now for the final step, which is a little more fun and lets you use your creativity. If you’re not a particularly skilled painter, use different patterned stencils in a design you like. A few patterns on the vase can work wonders and give it a modern look. For a blue vase, try gloss white paint, for example. With a stencil, it will be a breeze.

A larger vase can have a slightly looser design. Use blue paint and a simple trick—just a few strokes with a brush—and the vase looks incredible! You’ll see that it’s easier than it seems at first.
I hope this has given you some inspiration. Enjoy your crafting!
Have a lovely day,
Janka
