Pentart Fine-Line Crackle Varnish, 2-Step, 100 ml + 100 ml
Two-Phase Crackle Varnish with Fine Lines - 100 ml + 100 ml
Two-Phase Crackle Varnish with Fine Lines
Crackle varnish is used to imitate fine cracks on old porcelain. Pack contains: 100 ml of phase 1 + 100 ml of phase 2.
Application:
- apply the first phase to the surface of an already decorated object,
- once it has dried, apply the second phase and spread it thoroughly over the surface with your fingers,
- the varnish layer of phase 2 will crack as it dries,
- you can accentuate the cracks by rubbing a non-water-based coloring material into the surface (liquid patina or antiquing paste),
- the pattern of the resulting cracks depends on the thickness of each applied phase and the drying time,
- phase 2 is not water-resistant once dry, so the next day you need to coat it with a varnish that can be thinned with thinner.

A fantastic product with an excellent effect and finish. Forget cheaper, lower-quality mediums. This one works right away. Highly recommend!
I use this varnish on antique frames, and it creates a beautiful effect with fine cracks that gives the pieces an original touch. It’s very intuitive to work with.
I’m very happy with how finely and delicately the varnish cracked. After applying it, my decorations look like they belong in a museum.
